The Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Council, Comrade Friday Warri last Thursday paid his last tribute to late Hon Benjamin Egbe at the lying-in-state ceremony in the Legislative Chambers of the Council, Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Warri stated that late Benjamin was a force to be reckoned with when he was alive, describing the late Councillor as an astute, hard working and a dedicated member of the Legislative Arm of Isoko South Local Government.
The Council Boss, quoting the Biblical injunction from the Book of Ecclesiastics, Chapter 3 Verse 1 through 3, during the official lying-in-state of the remains of late Hon. Benjamin Egbe in the Legislative Chambers of the Council, admonished every one to repent and always turn to God irrespective of the fact that death is the necessary end of every man.
Furthermore, the Leader of Isoko South Legislative Arm, Hon Friday Olokor, described late Hon. Benjamin Egbe as a humble and vibrant member of the 8th Assembly of the Isoko South Local Council legislative arm.
Speaking separately on behalf of the Councillors,the Deputy Leader, Hon. Friday Orere and Hon. Oheri described their fallen colleague as a man whose legacies will be greatly missed.
The Valedictory session in the honour of the late legislator was attended by the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Theresa Ikrike, party leaders, honourable members from Isoko North and Ethiope East Local governments as well as staffers of Isoko South.
High light of the Valedictory session was procession round the body and there after the body was taken to Emede for interment.
