… Cautioned against sales, hording, diversion.

In a bid to alleviate the educational financial burdens of parents, the Executive Chairman of lsoko South Local Government, Hon Friday Warri has Tuesday 18, 2024, officially flagged off the free exercise books donation to primary schools in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The exercise which was kick-started in Okpolo – Enwhe will have all the 48 public primary schools in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State as beneficiaries.
Hon Warri warned the head teachers that the note books are not for sale and charged them to strictly abide by the rules of the game, by sharing the note books free of charge to the pupils.
The Council Boss therefore, tasked all teachers in public schools to brace up to the challenges of inculcating good morals in the pupils because they are the leaders of tomorrow.
He however, cautioned teachers not to horde or divert the excercise books which are meant for the school pupils to help aid their learning towards becoming good citizens in the nearest future.
Speaking further, Hon Warri advised pupils to take advantage of the free excercise books and take their studies seriously as education is the key to success in life which, according to him “is the focus and priority of the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevowri’s administration”.
The Chairman also promised to offer scholarship to 3 best primary 6 pupils in their school leaving certificate examination.
Earlier in her address, the Vice Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Council, Hon. Theresa Ikrike who also doubled as the Supervisory Counselor for Education, commended the Council Chairman for the laudable act of procuring note books for all pupils in the 48 primary schools in Isoko South Local Government Area.
Hon Ikrike therefore, charged the pupils to be committed to their studies and shun all vices that are inimical to the overall development of education.
Highlights of the ceremony was the official presentation of the notebooks to some of the school pupils by the Council Chairman, Hon Friday Warri in the presence of the Vice Chairman, Leader of Isoko South Legislative Arm, Hon Friday Olokor, Head of Personal Management of Isoko South, Mrs Mary Ofogbor, the Odiologbo of Irri Kingdom, HRM Simon Wajutome Odhomo, Igbogidi 1 and the Local Education Authority Secretary, Sir Pius Emamowho.
Others include featuring of poem recitation by some pupils as well as cultural displays by pupils of Okpolo and Oviota Primary Schools.
A total of 1,700 note books were printed for distribution to the 48 primary schools in Isoko South Local Government Area.
