Isoko-Nation Progressive Like-Minds (INPLM), under the leadership of Comrade Ilaya Efemena Beckly, has called on community leaders, stakeholders, and political leaders to take proactive steps in strengthening political representation in Isoko North Local Government Area, Delta State.
The group urges them to formally submit a request to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the creation of more wards in Ozoro Kingdom and a new state constituency in Isoko North LGA.

THE NEED FOR MORE WARDS IN OZORO KINGDOM
Ozoro Kingdom, as the administrative headquarters of Isoko North, has experienced significant population growth and socio-political expansion.
Isoko-nation progressive Like-Minds (INPLM) argues that the existing wards are no longer sufficient to effectively cater to the political and developmental needs of the kingdom.
The key reasons for requesting additional wards include:
1. More wards will ensure better grass roots representation of the people at the local government level.
2. Creating additional wards will allow more residents to participate in decision-making processes.
3. It will help in fairer allocation of government resources and development projects.

THE CASE FOR A NEW CONSTITUENCY IN ISOKO NORTH LGA
In addition to the demand for more wards in Ozoro, Isoko-nation progressive Like-Minds (INPLM) is also pushing for the creation of a new state constituency in Isoko North.
The Group highlights several reasons why this is necessary:
1. Population Increase- The current constituency structure does not adequately represent the growing number of residents.
2. More Effective Governance – A new constituency will ensure a better spread of government attention and resources.
3. Balanced Political Representation– It will provide a fairer and more equitable representation of Isoko North communities in the Delta State House of Assembly.
Comrade Ilaya Efemena Beckly, speaking on behalf of Isoko-nation progressive Like-Minds (INPLM), urges House Of Assembly Member representing isoko north constituency, Traditional rulers, Community leaders, Youth groups, and Political stakeholders to come together and formally submit a proposal to INEC.
He emphasized that:
1. A well-documented request should be prepared, detailing the demographic and political justifications for these changes.
2. Engagement with lawmakers at both the state and federal levels is necessary to push for legislative approval.
3. Public awareness and mobilization should be intensified to rally support for the initiative.
INPLM remains committed to ensuring better political representation and governance for the people of Isoko North. The group will continue to work with relevant authorities to advocate for the creation of more wards in Ozoro Kingdom and the establishment of a new constituency in isoko North Local government Area of Delta State.
The demand for additional wards in Ozoro and a new constituency in Isoko North is a necessary step towards fairer representation, effective governance, and sustainable development.
INPLM calls on all well-meaning Isoko sons and daughters to support this initiative and take action in securing a brighter political future for the region.
