Isoko North is Peaceful as We Have Successfully Addressed Security Threats – Elder Ogorugba

Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba has stated that several security measures taken have brought relative peace to the local government area.

Elder Ogorugba made this statement while hosting the Isoko North Traditional Rulers Council at his office in Ozoro today.
He emphasized that both the high flag spots of Ozoro and Owhelogbo have experienced peace for some time and commended the traditional rulers for their efforts in promoting harmony within their kingdoms. He also shared details of the council’s plans.
“I can assure you that Isoko North Local Government is peaceful and very safe. We have successfully curtailed the recent clashes in Ozoro as well as issues in Owhelogbo, he stated.
“Some individuals involved have been arrested, and the investigation is still ongoing. I have spoken with the leaders of various communities to encourage them to allow security personnel to do their jobs, and this process is underway.”
During the briefing, Elder Ogorugba also informed the Royal Fathers that the security architecture in the Local Government has been strengthened and appreciated the State Commissioner of Police for his swift response in reinforcing the police formation in the council and requested their cooperation with the government to achieve positive results.

Matthew Ikpoku, Orie II, Odiologbo of Ofagbe Kingdom.
