The chairman of lsoko South Local Government Area, Comrade Friday Warri Ovoke has tasked the Delta State Development and Property Authority (DDPA) to utilize their property in Isoko South Local Government Area to avert them being used by kidnappers.
Comrade Warri gave this charge Wednesday in his office at Oleh when he played host to DDPA Board Members.
The Chairman also advised the Board Members to put into use their property to avoid encroachment from private individuals.
He however, challenged the DDPA board members to develop those landed properties which have been acquired for over forty years especially now that people are in dire need of land.
Earlier, the Chairman of the the Board, Dr (Barr) Alex Olisedeme had intimated the Council Chairman of the board’s renewed willingness to utilize their properties in line with the Delta State Governor, Rt.Hon Sheriff Oborevowri’s MORE agenda to justify the confidence reposed on them by their appointment.
The board chairman was accompanied on the visit by Chief Dennis Aboki, a Director on the DDPA Board and other board members.
Present during the courtesy visit were Isoko South Vice Chairman, Hon. Theresa Ikrike, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon Zino Osuofa, the Head of Personnel Management, Mrs Mary Ofogbor, Mr Raphael Onowotu Exco Recorder and Comrade Unyove Matthew, Assistant Director of Information, Isoko South Local Government Council.
