It can be recalled that Mr Ajirioghene was alleged to be unlawfully arrested in the afternoon of Friday, February 14th in Lagos by an NDDC contractor, Matthew Edevbie following a Facebook post by Otagba, questioning the abandonment of the Isoko 132 KVA Substation electricity project at Ozoro.

In a post on the senator’s personal “X” account, he said “I’ve been in talks with Chief Matthew Edevbie, and he has agreed to take steps to release the detained young man, aiming to ease tensions and prevent further unrest.”

Sen. Onowakopor further noted that plans had been on going to resume work at the site of the project before the advent of the arrest.

” Before this incident, myself, Chief Matthew Edevbie, NDDC Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the President-General of Isoko Development Union- Prof Chris Akpotu and a host of others have been working behind the scene to restart this project.” He added.

He concluded by calling on all people of Isoko to join hands with him, reiterating his commitment toward building a viable, peace and better Isoko nation.

” As the Senator of Delta South, I want to assure you that I’m committed to finding solutions to our community’s problems. I’ll continue to work with stakeholders to ensure that our community receives the development it deserves.
