Wife of Isoko South LGC Chairman, Mrs. Warri Fetes ISLGA Aged, Indigent Women, Charges Them to Imbibe Spirit of Giving

The wife of Isoko South Local Government Council, Mrs. Abigail Warri has yesterday feted the aged and indigent women in the Council Area with food items and charged them to imbibe the spirit of giving, especially the period of the yultide.
Mrs. Warri gave this charge yesterday in Oleh when she was sharing Christmas food items to selected aged and less privileged women that cut across the Local Government Area.
The Isoko South LGC First Lady charged the beneficiaries to always demonstrate love towards one another and replicate same gesture to neighbours in their respective localities, while expressing appreciation to Her Excellency, Mrs Oborevwori, wife of Delta State Governor for her support towards putting smiles on the faces of the less privilege at this festive period.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Council, Comrade Warri Friday thanked the Delta State Governor Rt. Hon Francis Oborevwori for his support and urged the women to be appreciative to God Almighty for keeping and preserving their life till date and as well as being a beneficiaries .
The Chaplin of Isoko South Chapel of Light and Power, Venerable Robert Oziwele, while addressing the beneficiaries, advised them to demonstrate the habit of giving because Jesus Christ is the reason for the season whom God had given to mankind as a symbol love.
According to him ‘Unto us a Child is given to save minkind as a token of God’s love ‘ which must be embraced by every mankind.
Earlier in a welcome address,the Vice Chairman of Isoko South Local Government, Hon Ikrike Theresa thanked God for the sustenance of life, gave kudos to the Chair person and congratulated the beneficiaries for being selected for the programme.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Ella Okunu appreciated the Chairman’s wife for the kind gesture and prayed God for His divine protection for all and sundry.
Food items shared include bags of 10 kg rice, cartons of indomie noodles, tubbers of yam, groundnut oil, packs of maggi, tomatoes paste and bags of salt.
Present during the presentation ceremony, were Councillors, Supervisors, Assistant Directors of Information and a host of others.
